Maintenance Management and Scheduling

Maintenance Management and Scheduling

The NorthStar Team will keep aircraft owners up to date with pertinent information regarding aircraft inspections required per the FAA or recommended by the Manufacturer to keep the aircraft airworthy and safe for operation. The services we offer include, keeping up to date engine monitoring using services such as CAMP (Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Programs) and facilitating all maintenance scheduling with the appropriate facilities. In addition, the NorthStar team will also perform all normal aircraft responsibilities such as adding oil and/or updating system databases.

Expense Reports and Organization

Expense Reports and Organization

For each flight, the NorthStar team will provide a list of expenses with an explanation of each charge. These items can include fuel, airport fees, crew transportation, meals, and lodging. All expenses incurred as a result of each requested flight will be expected to be covered by the owner or passengers onboard the aircraft. Pilots will be required to only spend an “affordable amount” when off base and utilizing covered expenses by the client. When requested, flight and expense reports can be provided to the client in a timely manner.

Scheduling and Crew Availability

Scheduling and Crew Availability

NorthStar uses a scheduling service, BART (Business Aircraft Records and Tracking), a web-based software to schedule pilots and list availability to the client. We strive to crew each flight with two pilots whenever possible. Rarely do we crew the aircraft with a single pilot crew, but it is a possibility. We do recognize the possibility of owner/ operators who would like the ability to fly their own aircraft. NorthStar offers a ‘second pilot service’, with a fully trained, qualified and capable pilot who can help conduct the flight. We employ current and experienced flight instructor pilots, who can also allow the owner/ operator to log dual received training, if requested by the owner/operator, in their own aircraft. All flight decisions and safety concerns will be reserved for the NorthStar Pilot in Command as to weather delays, flight cancellations, or alternate airports if needed.

Pilots

PC-12 Qualified and Capable Pilots

NorthStar Aviation employs pilots with a variety of different aircraft experience from small single- engine piston aircrafts to Small/ Mid-Sized Jets. Currently, the team specializes in operating PC-12 aircraft but we do not limit our capabilities to the Pilatus PC-12. Our pilots attend in-house recurrent training to remain current in our aircraft types to ensure our pilots operate in a safe and efficient manner. Each pilot is fully insured on the specific aircraft(s) they will pilot.
